Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 LMPD Crime Reduction Strategy Community Survey! Your feedback helps shape our approach to making Louisville a safer and stronger city. We heard from residents across the city, with the most responses coming from ZIP codes 40214, 40205, 40204, and 40299. Here is what we learned:
Community Safety Perception:
- Over 85% of participants said they feel somewhat to completely safe in Louisville. However, 15% stated they do not feel safe. We hear you and we are taking action to increase the feeling of safety in Louisville!
Top Crime Concerns:
- Your biggest concerns include gang-related crime, murder, and robberies.
Reducing Crime Together is Key! The top suggestions for improvement include:
- Increased Police Patrols
- Drug-Abuse Prevention Programs
- Neighborhood Watch Programs
NOTE: For the questions with an option to answer “Other”, most of the responses included a written combination of available choices or “all of the above”.
